Adrienne's Boudoir Experience 

At the beginning of last year my husband and I decided to get married after 12 years of living together. To help with the planning I searched the internet and stumbled across forums and message boards that gave help and advice on all aspects of planning for such a big day. I made some wonderful friends on there and a couple mentioned that they were planning on having a boudoir photoshoot as a wedding gift for their husbands. I thought it was a wonderful idea although a little late at the time for me as my wedding was so close but I did think it would be the ideal first anniversary gift!At the time I had been watching Gok Wans 'How to look good naked' and had been saying to my husband how I would love to have a photoshoot like that done. After all, if they can, I can!! I no longer have the figure I had in my twenties, having children as seen to that!After much research, and the realisation that it is not just for beautiful models with skinny figures, I decided to go for it!

Most of the photographers that had been recommended to me were all based in the south. Being in the north and only a stones throw from Manchester, I just knew that there had to be plenty of choice there. I wasn't wrong!I did a basic internet search and looked at a couple of websites before finding Black Book Sessions. Jules style of photography grabbed me straight away, her website is very informative with an extensive gallery to look at. All the photographs are shot tastefully but still with a suggestion of the erotic. I knew straight away that she was the one and so I plucked up the courage to enquire about the shoot.A few weeks later, I went to meet Jules in Manchester. To be honest,at this point I almost talked myself out of it. I thought I was making a huge mistake... I couldn't possibly pull it off... I was too old and just not beautiful enough... She would have her work cut out with me...etc etc! However, as soon as I met her, I instantly relaxed. She was so warm and friendly, there was no suggestion that this wasn't for me. She put me at ease about my hang ups, making suggestions of how the shoot could progress, about my hair and make up along with other tips. Even then, she was very enthusiastic about the whole shoot and it was contagious! From that point on, I never worried about the shoot at all, I knew I was going to be in good hands with someone I could trust.

As the day dawned, I became very excited, when I arrived I was introduced to Andree the make up artist and the three of us sat discussing my outfits and the different looks that could be achieved. They were both highly enthusiastic and I was swept away with it all. I then had my hair and make up done which took about an hour and I sat drinking champagne! WOW! What a transformation! I looked so different, I instantly felt attractive and had no qualms about posing in front of the camera. I'm normally the kind of person that hides from the camera, I hate snap shots of myself! Not that day though, Jules was very good at directing me how to sit and stand and where to look.  I started out fully clothed and as the shoot progressed I wore less and less, only as far as I felt comfortable. I wasn't sure I could go completely naked at first but it felt quite normal after a couple of hours to do just that, although I was tastefully covered in the places that I did not want to be seen. Before I knew it the shoot was over, I had had the most amazing day and couldn't wait to see the finished result.

The following day Jules sent me the proofs from my shoot, I couldn't believe how good I looked to say they were the un-edited versions. I really didn't know how I was going to pick 12 and I asked a couple of close friends to help me choose.

A few days before our anniversary, the photos arrived. They were beautifully packaged in a leather bound album and I loved them! My husband did too! In fact his jaw dropped and he couldn't speak at first. It was the most wonderful experience and I now know that I can look good, especially naked!

Cerrinda's Boudoir Experience 

I have always wanted to be a playboy model but never really pursued it when I was younger and had the figure and the looks. I have lost a lot of confidence over my looks and figure over the last few years and had a recent set back just before Christmas that left me feeling very old and ugly. My partner bought me the Ultimate Diva Photo Session with Black Book Sessions. I was overwhelmed, nervous and excited. It took me a little while to contact Jules, the female photographer, because I felt a bit embarrassed due to my lack of confidence. Why was I worried? Jules was very warm and friendly. She instantly understood the type of photographs I was after and was very easy to talk to – made me feel like I could trust her and I’d felt like I’d always known her.

The day of the session arrived and Jules met me at the door and her enthusiasm was instantly contagious. I was very nervous but sitting and talking to both Jules and Andreé, the make up artist, instantly relaxed me and made the whole experience special from the start. I brought with me a number of pictures of beautiful sexy women I admire and the type of poses I wanted to try and recapture. I took a suitcase full of stockings, bras and sexy clothes and shoes. Jules suggested a “before” shot which I’m glad I did - WOW what a change. 

Andreé’s make up was amazing and I no longer looked like the dowdy person I was sure I previously was. I felt really glamorous. During the shoot I felt very relaxed and sexy. Jules was very encouraging throughout. Andreé changed my make up half way through from a soft and sexy look to a sexy vamp one. I again looked and felt amazing despite having bumps in all the wrong places. I must admit I really got into the shoot halfway through and really let myself go. I really enjoyed the shoot and didn’t want it to end. 

It was great to see the shot’s on my computer. The hard part was choosing the photographs as there were so many that we liked. I felt Jules really understood the looks I was trying to achieve. If anything its made me quite determined to hit the gym and tone up as I do have great figure and I’m beautiful - a bit cheesy but true. Its great feeling a bit more feminine and sexy and I have every intention to go back and get some more shots done in the not too distant future.
