How do I book a Black Books Boudoir session or buy a Voucher?
If you wish to book yourself a session, you can either e-mail me or give me call and we can check the availability of the date you have in mind. You can then secure your session by paying a deposit of half the package price. This can be sent to me as a cheque. Once I receive your cheque I will send you’re a receipt or a gift voucher, which ever is appropriate. The remaining amount can be paid before the shoot or on the day. The deposit is non refundable if you cannot make your appointment and do not give 7 days notice. If you can let me know 7 days before we can carry over your deposit to a new appointment time- depending on my other diary commitments.
What is a Consulation for?
Your consultation with jules is a chance to chat about your outfits, lingerie, accessories and hair and make up looks. It’s also a great time to discuss any ideas, or ask any questions that you may have regards your shoot.Depending on which package your choose there are lots of different looks we can offer within your package from burlesque, erotic, Artisic nude, boudoir bride, glamour, 50's pin up gal, natural, or full on vixen!
If you are local to the Manchester area we can meet for a chat, or alternatively if you are further a field we can have chat over the telephone. The consultation is very informal, and is basically a great way for us to get to get to know each other before your photo shoot.
What should i bring to my Boudoir Shoot?
The choice is yours! …..As you can see from my site anything goes. It’s best to choose a few different looks and work on those. But depending on your own personal style will depend on the look that you desire. I have a selection of props, at the studio that you are welcome to use but it always nice to have your own personal touches.

I'm a bit worried about all the posing? I've never done anything like this before
Over the years i have photographed people of all shapes and sizes and ages. Myself and the make up artist will guide you through different poses(i do all the poses myself so you can have a good laugh at me first!!). By the end of the session everyone says they really loved it and want to do more!. The best thing to remember is that i have been photographing people for years and seen pretty much everything. I find if you throw yourself into it, and have a good laugh you will get the best results!
Will the make up artist be able to advise on the best looks?
It’s a great idea to bring some pictures from magazines of hair and make up looks that you like. The make artists that I use for the Black Book Sessions shoots have years of experience and are a extremely creative team. There are no limits to looks that can be created from glamourous burlesque, to soft nude natural looks. The team regularly work on glamour, bridal, and fashion photo shoots, so are continually updating there techniques. The make artist will also help with styling and will be on hand throughout your session to add lip gloss, perfect your hair, and generally make you look sexy and glam!
When can i see my photos?
Your images will be ready to view via the online gallery 2 days after your shoot. During your photo shoot I will take around 150+ images to get the right looks, and capture exactly the right feel. I will then edit the shots to the ones that are the crème de la crème. There will be around 80 to 100 images for you to view. Once you have chosen your favourite images and e-mailed me all the requirements it will take another 14 days to get your package, airburshed and finalised .Once ready everything will be sent out to you first class delivery.
Can i upgrade my Black Books Boudoir package after the shoot?
If you wish to add more photographs or products (check out the NEW Boudoir Art Calenders and Boudoir Art Books on the prices page) to your package you can. Extra images can be added to your disc at the cost of £50 per image. Canvases and framed printed can also be arranged for you. If you would like list of all our extras just ask and i will e-mail you a copy.
Where are you based?
The studio is based in Greater Manchester, close to Lancashire, Cheshire and Yorkshire and the M60 motorway links. There are close rail links nearby, Piccadilly Station being the nearest, and plenty of parking.
Sessions currently run on weekdays, but weekends can be arranged if needed. Advance bookings are advised if photoshoots are for a special occasion, like Bride to be Boudoir shoots, anniversaries etc.
