How do I book a Black Books Boudoir session or buy a Voucher?

If you wish to book yourself a session, you can either e-mail me or give me call and we can check the availability of the date you have in mind. You can then secure your photoshoot by paying a deposit just £60.This can be sent to me as a cheque. Once I receive your cheque I will send you're a receipt or a gift voucher, which ever is appropriate and the details of the studio, parking, train stations etc. The remaining amount can be paid before the shoot or on the day. Where is the studio?

Our studio is in Rawtenstall centre, in Rossendale, close to Manchester. With easy access from Lancashire, Cheshire and Yorkshire. J19 M60 motorway - M66 into Rawtenstall centre. The closest train station is Accrington, which is 5 mins in a taxi.

Photoshoots currently are run on Mondays only. Photoshoots for weekends can be booked in advance from August 2110 onwards. Weekend bookings do include a £25 extra booking fee. Advance bookings are advised if photoshoots are for a special occasion, like Bride to be Boudoir shoots, anniversaries, birthdays etc.

Can we meet up before or have a chat?

If you wish to have chat before your shoot and are local to the north west area we can meet for a chat, or alternatively if you are further a field we can have chat over the telephone . Normally we  have a chat and discuss ideas on the day of your shoot .

What should i bring to my Boudoir Shoot?

The choice is yours! …..As you can see from my site anything goes. It's best to choose a few different looks and work on those. But depending on your own personal style will depend on the look that you desire. I have a selection of props, at the studio that you are welcome to use but it always nice to have your own personal touches.

We have.......Bowler Hat, Top Hat, Pill Box Hat, Net, Silk sheets in Black, Brown, Hot Pink, White, Feather Boas in White, Soft Pink and Black, Long Black Gloves, Short Black Gloves, Fish Net Gloves, Petals in Red and Pink, Pink Pom Poms, Long Pearls, Black Choker, Nipple Tassels in Black, Black Riding Crop, Black Feather Fan, 50's Style slippers in black, cigarette holder,Fur Coat.

I've put together a few items that  you may want to bring as they really photograph well. 

  • Basques, Black or Red photography really well.
  • Stockings and suspenders
  • Fishnets
  • French knickers
  • Silky Robes
  • Long or lacy Gloves
  • Sexy Jeans and vest tops
  • Waistcoats
  • Fur coats
  • White Men's shirts
  • Black Heels
  • Jewelery
  • Sexy props, whips, blindfolds, handcuffs!
  • Nipple tassels (for the brave!)
  • Baby oil (for the very, very brave!)
  • A little tip - Having a good  Beauty Salon fake tan treatment before you come for your shoot is a definite confidence booster , but  if you are natural very pale the Dita Von Tease pale look can be very attractive so stay as you are!!
  • Don't forget those toes and fingernails, get them painted in your favorite sexy shade!

I'm a bit worried about all the posing? I've never done anything like this before

Over the years i have photographed people of all shapes and sizes and ages. Myself and the make up artist will guide you through different poses(i do all the poses myself so you can have a good laugh at me first!!). By the end of the session everyone says they really loved it and want to do more!.The best thing to remember is that i have been photographing people for years and seen pretty much everything when it comes too body shapes,cellulite, stretch marks and other bits we love to hate. I find if you throw yourself into it, and have a good laugh you will get the best results!

Can you hide my stretch marks, tattoos and cellulite?

No worries, we can hide all the above with good lighting, poses, post shoot editing and airbrushing techniques. We can even change the shape of a tummy, bums, legs etc. I always say that if your a size 18 i wouldn't  want to change you to a size make you a 12 as we want you to be you!! Editing is always very subtle, and no dramatic changes would made unless you ask us.

Will the make up artist be able to advise on the best looks?

It's a great idea to bring some pictures from magazines and my website of hair and make up looks that you like. The make artists that I use for the Black Book Sessions photoshoots have years of experience and are a extremely creative team. There are no limits to looks that can be created from glamourous burlesque, to soft  nude natural looks. The team regularly work on glamour, bridal, and fashion photo shoots, so are continually updating there techniques. The make artist will also help with styling and will be on hand throughout your session to add lip gloss, perfect your hair, and generally make you look sexy and glam!  

When can i see my photos?

Your images will be ready to view via your online gallery around 2 - 3  days after your shoot. During a 1hr 30min hour photo shoot I will take around 100+ images to get the right looks, and capture exactly the right feel. I will then edit the shots to the ones that are the creme de la crème. There will be around 80 to 90 images for you to view.

How long will the photos or albums take to be ready ?

Once you have chosen your favorite images and e-mailed me all the requirements it will take around 3 weeks to a month for calenders and albums, prints and disc can be ready in 1- 2 weeks.  If you have a tighter deadline, let us know, depending on diary commitments we may be able to complete your order sooner.

How do i receive my photos or album ?

Once ready everything will be sent out to you special delivery. There is a £10 charge for albums or albums and CD' packages; and a £4 charge for just prints or CDS in the UK. You are free to collect your images and albums from us if thats easier for you. Overseas prices would increase.

How long is my gallery online for before its removed?

Your gallery will be saved to our on line system for 2 months for you choose your images it will then be removed but can be added again at any time if you wish to view, purchase images in the future. If your photo order exceeds a 6 month period your gallery will be deleted and you will lose the right to original package.

Can i upgrade my Black Books Boudoir package after the shoot?

If you wish to add more photographs or products after your shoot  to your package you can. Extra images can be added to your disc at the cost of £50 per image.We can also arrange for your whole shoot to be added to CD, either reduced  in resolution to view only or high resolution for printing. Canvases and framed printed can also be arranged for you. If you would like list of all our extras just ask and i will e-mail you a copy.

Cancellations, Refunds and Gift Voucher Policy

Your deposit is non refundable if you cannot make your appointment and are unable to give 14 days notice. If you can let us know 14 days before we can carry over your deposit to a new appointment time- depending on my other diary commitments.If you decide that after prebooking a photoshoot or purchasing a gift voucher that you no longer wish to precede with the Photoshoot, your deposit will also be non refundable.Gift Vouchers are valid for a 6 month period. (can be extended if requested at the time of purchase)
