How do I book a Black Books Boudoir session or buy a Voucher?

If you wish to book yourself a session, you can either e-mail me or give me call and we can check the availability of the date you have in mind. You can then secure your photoshoot by paying a deposit just £50.This can be sent to me as a cheque or you can call me and pay by credit card. Once I receive your payment I will send you're a receipt or a gift voucher, which ever is appropriate and the details of the studio, parking, train stations etc. The remaining amount can be paid before the shoot or on the day. Where is the studio? ..What days do you run your shoots?

Our studio is in Rawtenstall centre, in Rossendale,  very close to Manchester. With easy access from Lancashire, Cheshire and Yorkshire. J19 M60 motorway - M66 into Rawtenstall centre. The closest train station is Accrington, which is 5 mins in a taxi.

Photoshoots currently are run on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.Limited weekends are availible with a £50 extra booking fee. Advance bookings  are advised if photoshoots are for a special occasion, like Bride to be Boudoir shoots, anniversaries, christmas etc

Can i bring a friend to watch the shoot?

I have found that past clients relax into the photoshoot easier with just the two of us in the studio, and therefore get better results.... but if you would really like to have a  friend stay they is welcome.

Can we meet up before or have a chat?

If you wish to have chat before your shoot and are local to the north west area we can meet for a chat, or alternatively if you are further a field we can have chat over the telephone or discuss ideas via mail.

Do i have to have nude or erotic photos, or photos showing my bum as i don't like that part of my body?

No it all its about what you want......there are a variety of styles on my website, as over the years i have had lots of different requests from clients. I have had gals bringing jeans and a vest top, or their favourite evening dress... to clients just with a pair of boots!..Is really up to you. If you like you bum and legs we can show them in some shots, if you don't we will do more of you from the front and work on bits that you do like...you can guide me....... Its your session and your experience.

 

What should i bring to my Boudoir Shoot?

 Again choice is yours! …..As you can see from my site anything goes.

I've put together a few items that  you may want to bring as they really photograph well. 

• Basques are great for everyone, as they are a real confidence booster and look amazing.
• Corsets are fantasic simply the best looks and really give us curves!!
• Stockings and suspenders
• Fishnets
• Black Heels
• Fake Tan !!... can really ruin  the final look of your images.  Please stay natural!!... Don't forget those toes and fingernails, get them painted in your favorite sexy shade

 

I'm a bit worried about all the posing... I've never done anything like this before.

Over the years i have photographed people of all shapes and sizes and ages.. Its just you and me in the studio when we are shooting, so its totally private. I will direct you into all the poses, i generally do all the poses myself so you can have a good laugh at me first!!....... By the end of the session everyone says they really loved it and want to do more!.The best thing to remember is that i have been photographing people for years and seen pretty much everything when it comes too body shapes,cellulite, stretch marks and other bits we love to hate. I find if you throw yourself into it, you will get the best results.

 

Will the make up artist be able to advise on the best looks?

 It's a great idea to bring some pictures from magazines and my website of hair and make up looks that you like if you wish or our gals can advise you and give advise relating to the outfits your have brought. The make artists that I use for the Black Book Sessions photoshoots have years of experience and are a extremely creative team. There are no limits to looks that can be created from glamourous burlesque, to soft  nude natural looks. The make artist will be on hand throughout your session for the longer shoots to add lip gloss, perfect your hair, and generally make you look sexy and glam!  

 

Can you hide my stretch marks, batwings, tattoos and cellulite?

No worries, we can hide all the above with good lighting, poses, post shoot editing and airbrushing techniques. We can even change the shape of a tummy, bums, legs etc. I always say that if your a size 18 i wouldn't  want to change you to a size make you a 12 as we want you to be you!! Editing is always very subtle, and no dramatic changes would made unless you ask us.

 

When can i see my photos, and do i choose my favourites or you?

Your image gallery, and an airbrushed and edited example gallery will be ready to view via your online gallery around 3 days after your shoot. We select the best images from your whole shoot and  then  let you choose your favourites to be edited. You then let us know which colourways you like and what main editing changes you desire. We always smooth skin, hide marks etc..but body changes must be guided by you.

Can i see my edited images before they go to print?

After your images are edited to your requests we can upload you a new gallery if you wish to view your finished images before printing. At this point if you decide you want more changes, or if you wish to change you image selection we are more than happy to do that for you, but an extra fee of £25per hr is requested.Editing time is including in your intial package price, and is a lengthly process.The photoshoot is only a small part of your final product and editing, layout and processing your order can be 70% of the work involved in completing your order.

How long will the photos or albums take to be ready ?

Once you have chosen your favourite images and e-mailed me all the requirements it will take around 4 weeks  for calenders and albums, prints and disc can be ready in 2 weeks.  If you have a tighter deadline, let us know, depending on diary commitments we may be able to complete your order sooner.

How do i receive my photos or album ?

Once ready everything will be sent out to you special delivery. Postage and packing is included in the package price. Overseas postage would increase the price.

How long is my gallery online for before its removed?

Your gallery will be saved to our online system until you have choosen your favourite images, and will then be removed once you send your order. We can add it on again at any time if you wish to view or purchase images in the future. All  photo orders must be made within a 6 month period of your photoshoot, after that time  your gallery will be deleted and you will lose the right to original package.

Can i upgrade my Black Books Boudoir package after the shoot?

If you wish to add more photographs or products after your shoot  to your package you can. Extra images can be added to your disc at the cost of £35 per image. We can also arrange for your whole shoot to be added to CD, to view as a slideshow and and resized for facebook or internet use. Canvases and framed printed can also be arranged for you.

Cancellations, Refunds and Gift Voucher Policy

If you decide that after prebooking a photoshoot or purchasing a gift voucher that you no longer wish to precede with the photoshoot or cannot attend, your deposit/ payment is non refundable. If you can'not make your appointment and give us 2 weeks notice we will carry over your payment for 1 month for you to rebook..Gift Vouchers are valid for a 6 month period.
